Lindblad's Use of Eco Technology

While the people provide the understanding of the experience, the elements of your expedition are greatly enhanced by the use of the latest in eco technology - instruments, cameras, and sound recording devices that bring the bottom of the ocean to sea level and give a whole near perspective to the environment that sounds you at sea. Some of these devices include:

High-Tech "Fishing" Splash-Cam - An underwater video camera that attaches to a telescoping pole and is "wired" to the surface. This allows the deployment of a camera where one wouldn't otherwise choose to send a scuba diver or to simply take a quick look at something of interest.

Marine Vocals - Hydrophone - Which allows you to hear vocalizations by marine animals. Not all of which make "sounds", but in some of the areas they travel they are quite vocal. When conditions are right, they deploy the hydrophone to either capture vocalizations in a recording to be heard later, or broadcast live on the ship's PA system to be heard while actually watching marine mammals.

Front Row Seats - Bow Camera - This underwater bow camera is designed to deploy and retract directly from the Sea Lion and Sea Bird's bow. The camera is wired to monitors in the lounge where there is a joystick to operate, allowing viewers camera control. Get a whole new perspective on bow-riding dolphins!
