Serenade of the Seas is a 90,090 ton, 2,501 passenger vessel that fits just within Panamax measurements (with one foot on either side to spare), which means it has maximum geographic ability to sail to and from just about any region.
Serenade of the Seas offers plenty of options, from dining to entertainment, and is classified as a mid sized ship. It's a great choice for a variety of travelers from singles and participants of family vacations, to couples and groups.
Best Views of the Water on the Water
This vessel has a great many of activities to offer to all those who board it and also makes their cruising experience a truly luxurious one. The stunning glass wall of the cruise ship provides spectacular views of the horizon and the seas from any part of the ship to visitors. Serenade of the Seas is decorated with exquisite statuettes and art pieces throughout the ship, and within the centre there is an atrium where different musical performances can be enjoyed. Among the best-featured facilities, are the ship's 33-foot high rock-climbing wall, a pool along with water slides for kids, hot tub and a heated pool where kids and adults alike can have ample fun while being on the Serenade of the Seas.
Lots Of Activities Available On Board
The ship has a fantastic library for those who wish to read along with other entertainment sources. There is a casino, movie theatre, a video arcade room, disco, sports bar, champagne bar, coffee bar, karaoke bar and many such leisure areas throughout the ship. Its' full service spa is comprised of an excellent exercise room with modern exercising equipment. There are two computerized self leveling pool tables, a 9-hole putting course, ping pong tables, basketball courts, a golf simulator, shuffleboard and the jogging track as other main attractions of the ship, as well. Various entertainers perform at different times of the day and the night in the theatre. And needless to say, passengers simply love to shop at the specialty shops on the Serenade of the Seas.

Dining
The restaurants of the vessel can be chosen according to formal dining, snacking and casual dining as per the need and the mood. There are two optional dining restaurants on board. Reflections, the ship's main dining room, spans two decks. The focal point is a cascading waterfall. Reflections offers the usual set seating option at dinner time, early and late, with assigned tablemates. Otherwise the restaurant operates under an open seating policy for breakfast and lunch. Tables for two are at a premium on most cruise itineraries.
Cabins Are Varied In Design
Staterooms on Serenade of the Seas cover categories ranging from the basic Inside cabins to the way over the top Grand Suites complete with a piano.
Standard cabins (Balconies, Outside, Inside) feature the usual layout of twin beds that convert to a queen and a separate sitting area. The bathrooms are shower only in these staterooms. There are two different types of Family Suites, one with a living room and two bedrooms, the other with one large room, with bed and sofa, and a small bedroom. If a suite is your selection, not only do you get more room, you also receive additional amenities such as luxurious upgraded bath products, whirlpool tubs, CD players, and access to the Concierge Lounge.
One interesting good value in between a standard Verandah and full fledged Suite is the Junior Suite. For a relatively small increase in your cruise rate over a standard Balcony cabin price, you get much more space - both inside and on the verandah -- and a more expansive bathroom with tub. However, guests of the Junior Suite do not qualify for any other official suite upgrades, such as use of the Concierge Service.
In all cabins, RCTV, the cruise line's interactive television, offers a first rate range of channels. There are plenty of movies offered for free and pay-per-view - including a daily classic selection. Also, an in room reservations system that can book everything from room service to shore excursions is available, though you may want to make important reservations over the phone directly. There's also a hair dryer, mini safe, and room service is available around the clock in every cabin.
Undoubtedly, the Serenade of the Seas cruise ship is one that provides the enriched environment and enjoyment that makes cruising a worthwhile experience.
